If you do an internet search for “biggest churches” or similar, you will find lots of websites listed. The vast majority deal with facilities, not people. They track the most square footage, the most acreage, the tallest buildings, the highest steeples, the costliest construction, the longest times from groundbreaking to final completion, and the like. Some record seating or standing capacity.
Multisite Central Support InnovationLab Forming!

Most churches when launching a multisite strategy do so with very simple support structures that allow for consistent, personal contact between the new and original campuses. This kind of structure works well for the first two or three sites. However, the experience of many churches is that the addition of the fourth campus multiplies the complexity of support needs.

I just spent the last two days being stretched by a conference named “Doing More with Less,” organized by Dr. Stacy Spencer, pastor of New Direction Church, and co-sponsored by Leadership Network. Last week, the day Better Together came off the press, I was meeting with a pastor who said, “The strangest thing happened yesterday,” and told me of another pastor he had known for years coming to him and asking, “Could we merge with your church?” I pulled out a hot-off-the-press copy of the book and handed it to him.
