Warren Bird, who has a great heart for working with innovative pastors and church leaders, is the Director of Research and Intellectual Capital Support for Leadership Network. In that role, he oversees a team of freelance writers and graphic artists who generate a steady stream of fresh knowledge products. Warren also spearheads ongoing research initiatives and Leadership Network's bi-weekly e-newsletter, "Advance." Warren has written many publications for Leadership Network, from salary surveys and profiles of executive pastors and large-church senior pastors to reports on the kinds of people who attend megachurches.
Warren has also collaboratively authored and/or co-authored 22 books, including Viral Churches: Helping Church Planters Become Movement Makers and The Multi-Site Church Roadtrip: Exploring the New Normal . Warren graduated with highest honors from Wheaton College (B.A., M.A.), Alliance Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Fordham University (Ph.D.), and is an ordained minister through the Christian and Missionary Alliance, having served as associate pastor or lead pastor for 14 years. Warren and his wife Michelle live just outside New York City, and have two grown children.
